Event
The Burrator 10K is a road 10K held at Burrator Reservoir, Yelverton, with support races for children. A UK Athletics licence has been applied for and the event will be run under England Athletics rules. Results will appear on Power of 10. The event has previously received a Racecheck Silver Award.
Course and facilities
The main 10K is measured to exactly 10 km and is almost all on tarmac on fully closed roads. The course makes one full loop of the reservoir and then about two thirds of a second loop, with approximately 90 metres of total climbing. The race starts on the dam bridge and finishes a few hundred metres from the visitor centre. Facilities include professional electronic chip timing, distance markers, a water station with gels, free event photographs with a watermark, and medals for all finishers.
Races and entry
- 10K - open to entrants aged 15 and over
- 2K - for ages 8-14
- 1K - for ages 3-7
Entry fees shown in the source range from £22-£24 for the 10K and £9 for the 2K and 1K. Children’s 2K has four age categories for competition and offers chip timing, a finishing arch, and podium presentations. Parking information is provided in the race manual.
