Bumrun Halifax 2026
Bumrun Halifax is a charity event focused on awareness of colon cancer screening and prevention. It takes place at Sullivan's Pond Park, Crichton Avenue, Dartmouth, NS, on May 24, 2026. Bumrun reports 15 years of organizing 5K walk/run events and more than CA$1.8 million net raised for colon cancer organizations. Funds support colon cancer research, enhanced patient support programs, and awareness of screening and prevention.

- Little Bums 500 m for children ages 12 and under
- Virtual 5K
Registration for the live 5K includes event swag, a finisher medal, and a personalized fundraising page. RunNS members receive a 5% discount on the 5K registration fee. Little Bums registration is CA$10.00 and includes a finisher medal and a personalized fundraising page; no race kit is provided. The virtual 5K includes a race completion digital certificate and a personalized fundraising page, without a race kit or medal.
On-site services and rules: baggage check will be open air and bibs are required to retrieve items. There is no water on the route; water is available at the event site and empty bottles should be discarded there. Non-service dogs are not permitted on the course. Medical staff will be on site and on course by bike. Awards will be presented at the awards tent and post-race refreshments will be provided for participants and volunteers.
