Bumrun Halifax 2026
Bumrun Halifax takes place at Sullivan's Pond Park in Dartmouth, NS. The event is organized by Bumrun, a charity that raises awareness of colon cancer screening and prevention. Over the last 15 years Bumrun has organized 5K walk/run events and raised more than $1.8 million net for various colon cancer organizations.

- 500 m Little Bums for children aged 12 and under
Funds support colon cancer research, patient support programs for families affected by colon cancer, and awareness of screening and prevention. Current fundraising for this event shows $1,318.20 raised toward a $40,000 goal.
Registration inclusions vary by option. The live 5K includes Bumrun swag, a finisher medal, and a personalized fundraising page. Little Bums registration includes a finisher medal and a personalized fundraising page but no race kit. A virtual 5K option is available across Canada; it includes a race completion digital certificate and a personalized fundraising page and does not include a race kit or finisher medal. RunNS members receive a discount and the event is part of the Run Nova Scotia road race series.
On-site logistics include an open-air baggage check, water available at the event site (none on the route), a medic on site and a medic on course by bike, and a prohibition on non-service dogs.
