St. Luke Buffalo Run
The Buffalo Run is an annual athletic event held in St. Ignatius, Montana. Organized by St. Luke Community Healthcare, the race coincides with the local Good Old Days festivities. The event serves as a benefit for the St. Ignatius Chamber of Commerce. Participants gather on Main Street in front of Gambles Hardware, which serves as both the starting point and the finishing line for all distances.
Participants can choose from three distinct distances:
- 1 Mile Fun Run (walk or run)
- 4 Mile Run
- 7 Mile Run
Each distance follows a different route through the area, and all courses are marked for navigation. The event offers timed results for those who register within the designated deadlines. Registration includes options for individual entries as well as family rates for those signing up online. Event t-shirts are provided to participants on a first-come, first-served basis, with availability depending on the time of registration and stock on hand. Same-day registration is available on-site for those who wish to participate, though timing services are prioritized for those who complete their registration before the cut-off period.
