Buffalo Marathon Weekend
Buffalo Marathon Weekend takes place in Buffalo, New York, at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center, 153 Franklin Street, from May 29 to May 30, 2027. The event marks the 26th anniversary of the weekend and features multiple race formats over two days. The course is a Boston Marathon qualifier and runs through streets, parks and waterways in Buffalo.
Distances and event types include:
- Full Marathon (26.2 miles)
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- Buffalo Marathon 5K Run and 5K Walk (3.1 miles)
- Ruffalo Stampede Dog Run (1K)
- Plogging Run (2 miles) and a two-mile walk
- Kids races and Diaper Dash for young children
A VIP Experience is offered for the Marathon and Half Marathon with benefits such as priority packet pick-up, an exclusive VIP tent or room with private restrooms, VIP parking, pre- and post-race refreshments, a private post-race recovery zone, and special VIP swag. Limited spots are available for the VIP upgrade.
Registration is nonrefundable. Registration changes, including deferrals and participant transfers, close April 30, 2027. Registration insurance is available at 7.5% of the registration cost (minimum $8.99) and can reimburse 100% of registration fees if qualifying conditions apply.
