Buffalo Marathon Weekend takes place May 23-24, 2026 in Buffalo, NY. The event includes multiple race distances and community fundraisers. The course is a Boston Marathon qualifier and runs through streets, parks and waterways in Buffalo. The main event base is the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center, 153 Franklin Street, Buffalo, NY 14202. The weekend marks the 25th anniversary of the event.
- Marathon - open to ages 18-99; base price $145.
- Half Marathon - open to ages 13-99; base price $130.
- 5K Run - open to ages 5-99; base price $40.
- 5K Walk - base price $40.
- Kids Mini-Marathon (Saturday) - open to ages 1-8; base price $10.
- Diaper Dash (Saturday) - open to ages 2 and under; base price $10.
- Community race options - fundraising versions of marathon, half, and 5K with charitable proceeds.
Entry, fees and policies
Registration changes (deferrals, race transfers, participant transfers) close April 30, 2026. Processing fees are paid by the Buffalo Marathon. The event policy states there are no refunds. Race fee insurance is offered at 7.5% of the registration cost (minimum $8.99) and must be purchased at registration; terms, conditions, and exclusions apply. Insurance benefits are underwritten by Jefferson Insurance Company and administered by AGA Service Company.
