Black Cat 5K and 1 Mile Fun Walk
The Black Cat event is the 18th annual run and walk benefiting the Bucks County SPCA. It takes place on October 31 at Peace Valley Park, with check-in and the event start at Sailor’s Point along the walking path by Lake Galena.
The program includes:
- 5K competitive run, professionally timed by Pretzel City Sports
- 1 Mile non-competitive walk, dogs welcome
The 5K is closed to dogs. Costumes are encouraged. Overall first-place male and female finishers receive gift cards and award plaques. Age-group awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in these divisions: 14 and under; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 and over.
Entry fee is $35 for either the 5K run or the 1 mile walk. The fee includes an official event t-shirt, guaranteed for registrations completed by October 11 while supplies last. Mail registrations must be postmarked by October 26 and preregistration closes on October 28. Race-day registration is offered.
The course follows the park walking path along Lake Galena and is presented as a community event for runners, walkers, and animal supporters who may participate individually or as part of a team. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
