46th Annual Buckley's to Kennedy's 5K Charity Run
The event is a community 5K run and walk held on June 14, 2026 that benefits Heartshare Developmental Disability Services, an organization that supports children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The program includes a main 5K open to general participants and a youth 5K for runners under 18. The course begins by the NYPD Center across from St. Genevieve Church on State Road in the Rockaway Point / Breezy Point area and finishes at the Breezy Point Baseball Field.
A family picnic at the ballfield follows the run. The picnic program includes live music by Head Over Heels, a barbecue with burgers and hot dogs, drinks including a beer truck, a bouncy house and other games and activities for children. The day also features a 50/50 raffle drawing.
Registration fees vary by timing and age: early registration through June 11 is $40, weekend registration increases to $50, the youth entry fee is $30, and race day registration is $60.
