Event details
The event is on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the Fish Lake Trailhead near Government Way and Sunset Highway in Spokane, Washington. It is a 4-mile run that benefits the BRRC volunteer program. Participants are asked to bring gently used shoes and clothing for donation to area high school athletes. Check-in and packet pick-up are held the day of the race at the trailhead. Parking is limited.
Registration fees are listed as $30 with a shirt or $20 for the no-shirt option. After March 23, the registration fee is $20 with no shirt. Day-of-race registration is $25 with no shirt.
Course and logistics
The course starts near the beginning of the Fish Lake Trail and follows the trail corridor through the Latah Valley, formerly Hangman Valley. From the Spokane trailhead the route follows a mild uphill grade. The course crosses a bridge over I-90 and runs beside trees that separate it from US 195 for a couple of miles. Cheney Spokane Road loosely parallels the trail for part of the route. Half-mile markers are placed along the trail. The route follows a former Oregon-Washington Railroad & Navigation Company corridor and passes Marshall Canyon, where it runs beside active rail lines in an area known as "The Tunnel."
