The RCRWC Broughton Trail Race
The River City Runners & Walkers Club hosts the sixth annual Broughton 5 mile trail race at Broughton Nature Park in Marietta, Ohio. The event offers a 5 miles course and three entry options: a run or run/walk, a walk only, and a run only. The walk only option welcomes pet dogs on a leash.
The course follows wooded trails beginning at the Broughton Complex and starts on grass near the bike path. The route uses the Orange Loop initially, climbing uphill before merging with the Red Loop to complete a full 5 mile loop back to the start. The terrain eases after the first mile. The course will be marked and will have water stations around the 1 mile and 2.5 mile marks.
Packet pick up is located in the pavilion near the start line. The event has a two and a half hour time limit. Registration opens August 8, 2026 and closes October 24, 2026; the registration fee is $30.00. All participants receive a race shirt. Awards are presented to the top three male and top three female finishers and to the top two finishers in each 10 year age group in both walking and running categories.
