Brookwood Missions Fun Run
The Brookwood Missions Fun Run is an annual community sports event held in Jacksonville, North Carolina. The event takes place at 903 Henderson Drive and is currently in its third year. Participants have the option to take part in one of two distinct categories:
- 5K
- 1 Mile
The event serves as a benefit for GraceWater, an organization focused on addressing the global water crisis. The funds raised contribute to the mission of providing clean water to communities in need through the drilling of wells. Since its inception in 2016, this partner organization has completed 41 water well projects and provided clean water to approximately 45,000 people.
In addition to water access, the initiative supported by this run also focuses on education and training programs, specifically assisting orphans by equipping them with various life skills and discipleship. The event provides an opportunity for the local community to support international humanitarian efforts while participating in a local athletic activity.
