Brooklyn Heights On the Run 5K
Brooklyn Heights On the Run is the 13th annual community running event held at the Brooklyn Heights Community Center, 225 Tuxedo Ave, Brooklyn Heights, OH 44131. The event program includes a 5k run, a 1 mile walk, and a kids dash for children age eight and under.
Registration opens July 15, 2026 and closes October 11, 2026. Entry fees are listed by category: youth 12 and under pay $15, standard entry is $25. A paper entry form is available and may be mailed to the event organizer by October 5, 2026.
Proceeds benefit the local Park Board and its community activities, including the Easter Egg Hunt, Christmas stockings and Santa visit, the summer concert in the park, and the community newsletter. Packet pickup takes place at the Brooklyn Heights Community Center on race day.
Event features include chip timing for the 5k, a kids dash, race shirts, refreshments, and door prizes. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in each of these age groups: 17 and under; 18 to 30; 31 to 50; and 51 and up. Dogs are allowed on course when kept on a short leash and with handlers positioned toward the back of the field. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
