Brooklyn Heights On the Run 5k
Brooklyn Heights On the Run is scheduled for October 11, 2026, at the Brooklyn Heights Community Center, 225 Tuxedo Ave, Brooklyn Heights, OH 44131. The event includes multiple short distance events that use mostly flat residential streets near the community center. Packet pickup is available on race day.
Event distances:
- 5K Run 3.1 Miles
- 1 Mile Walk 1 Mile
- Kids Dash 50 meters for ages 8 and under
Proceeds from the event go to the Park Board. The Park Board funds the community Easter Egg Hunt, Christmas stockings and a Santa visit, a summer concert in the park, and a community newsletter.
Registration fees are listed as $25 for standard entries and $15 for participants 12 and under. A paper entry form can be mailed to the event organizer by October 5, 2026.
Event features include chip timing for the 5K, a kids dash, refreshments, door prizes, and a race shirt. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in these age groups: 17 and under, 18 to 30, 31 to 50, and 51 and up. Dogs are allowed with a short leash and should line up toward the back. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
