Brookfield Classic
The Brookfield Classic is a trail running event held on September 19, 2026, in Brookfield, New York, within the Charles E. Baker State Forest. The event offers multiple race distances on marked forest trails and includes on-site food for participants.
Distances:
- 5k: Scenic trail around Woodland Pond. FKT 23:42.
- 15k: Loop on a mix of truck and horse trails. FKT 1:10.
- 50k: Ultra covering 50k and over 4,800 feet of vertical gain. FKT 4:23.
The 50k is run as 3 or more loops to allow refueling or safe withdrawal; runners must be recorded by a volunteer at the end of each loop. The 50k has a nine hour cutoff and the finish line is at the start area rather than Woodland Pond. Course maps and navigation videos are provided and both the 15k and 50k have Strava segments.

Two porta potties are placed in the parking lot at Truck Trail 14 (fire tower north lot) and one is located on Brown Road off horse trail 54.
Registration fees are listed as $25 for the 5k and $55 for the 15k and 50k. Trail running shoes or hiking boots are recommended and a change of shoes and socks is suggested for variable trail conditions.
