About the race
Race The Lake Marathon is an annual running event held in Cooperstown, New York, featuring marathon, half marathon, 10K, and 5K distances. The race courses showcase scenic views around Otsego Lake, passing landmarks such as the Otesaga Hotel, The Farmers Museum, The Fenimore Art Museum, and The Baseball Hall of Fame. The marathon and half marathon are USATF certified and serve as Boston Marathon qualifiers.
The 5K and 10K start and finish within Glimmerglass State Park, with most of the course inside the park. The event offers aid stations, volunteer support, and a festive post-race party with food, drinks, and awards.
