Brockagh

Brockagh is an Irish Mountain Running Association event in County Wicklow on Wednesday 13 May 2026. It is listed in the Leinster League. Entries open 11 May 2026 and close 13 May 2026. Entry fees are €7 for seniors and €5 for over 65s and under 18s. Capacity is 200 places.

Distances:

  • 9.90 km long route with 414 m climb
  • 4.80 km short / junior route

The route is fully marked and GPS devices are allowed. The event carries a difficulty rating of 7 (2,2,3) indicating moderate terrain. Mandatory kit is Level B and includes a waterproof jacket, hat or buff, gloves, whistle, a charged mobile phone with an emergency number stored, and a foil blanket, bivvy bag or equivalent. Runners must be able to carry the kit during the race; kit requirements may be finalised on the day and random checks may be carried out.

Organisers ask participants to carpool from Kilmac and Roundwood. The designated parking is the Council Derrybawn carpark in Laragh where there is a €2 per car charge payable by card only with proceeds to Mountain Rescue. Registration takes place at the small parking area above St Kevin's National School in Laragh and no cars are permitted at that location. Organisers will collect running kit at registration for donation to new trail runners. Prizegiving will be at Lynhams. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
