About the race
CRAFT Brněnský půlmaraton is a multi-distance road race held around the BVV area with the event centre at the Brno velodrome. The main programme includes the half marathon, 10 km, 5 km and relay races, and there are also several children's races with age-specific categories and laps on the velodrome. The course is multi-lap: the half marathon is four laps, the 10 km two laps and the 5 km one lap; one lap measures 5 262 metres. The surface is fully paved (asphalt, concrete, city paving) and the profile is described as flat with minimal elevation.
Electronic chip timing is used and timing is decisive for final placements; a 180-minute overall time limit applies. Refreshment stations are placed on each lap offering water, an isotonic drink and bananas; finish-line refreshments include water, apple juice, isotonic drink, cake and fruit. Every finisher receives an original commemorative medal; start numbers with measuring chips must be worn visibly on the front. Winners in categories receive plaques and small prizes; the top three overall men and women in the half marathon receive cash awards. Organiser services covered by the entry fee include course provision, timing, SMS finish times, refreshments, changing rooms and luggage storage.
Rules cover registration status, age-related consent, prohibition of headphones and outside aids, and participant responsibility for fitness and safety. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
