Brisbane Road Runners Club hosts regular road running events on a flat, accurately measured circuit along Riverside Drive in West End, Brisbane. Events start from the SBSC Clubhouse at Orleigh Park, with longer distances run as multiple laps of the same circuit. The club has been active in Brisbane since 1982 and holds events throughout the year, generally every second Sunday.
Distances offered at this meeting:
- 5K
- 10K
- 20K
Each event operates under police-approved permits and has marshals stationed along the course. Electronic timing records lap and finish times, and a digital timing clock is displayed at the start/finish line. Participants receive free post-race bananas, and a BYO water table is available. Events are open to both club members and visitors; club members do not pay entry fees. Registration is available online: it opens on the Monday before each event and closes at 7pm on the Saturday night prior. There are no late entries and no registration on race morning.
