Brisbane Road Runners Club event : Orleigh Park, West End
Brisbane Road Runners Club has been part of Brisbane's running community since 1982 and stages regular road running events, generally every second Sunday. Events take place on a flat, accurately measured circuit along Riverside Drive in West End, starting from the SBSC Clubhouse at Orleigh Park. Longer distances are run as multiple laps of the same circuit.

Each event is held with police-approved permits and marshals positioned along the course. Electronic timing records lap and finish times, and a digital timing clock is located at the start/finish line. Participants receive free post-race bananas and can use a BYO water table. Events are open to club members and visitors; members do not pay entry fees. Registration opens online on the Monday before each event and closes at 7pm on the Saturday night prior.
