About the race
Brisbane Road Runners Club runs a 5 Mile Championship event on a flat, accurately measured circuit along Riverside Drive in West End, starting from the SBSC Clubhouse at Orleigh Park. The club has operated in Brisbane since 1982 and stages road running events throughout the year, generally every second Sunday. Longer race distances are held as multiple laps of the same circuit. Events are conducted with police-approved permits and course marshals in place.
Electronic timing records lap and finish times, and a digital timing clock is located at the start/finish line. Participants receive free post-race bananas and there is a BYO water table available. Events are open to both club members and visitors; members do not pay entry fees. Registration is handled online: it opens on the Monday before each event and closes at 7pm on the Saturday night before.
There are no late entries and no registration on race morning. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
