Bridgnorth 10k
The Bridgnorth 10k is a road race that begins and ends at Bridgnorth Town Hall on High Street in the market town of Bridgnorth, Shropshire. The course covers 10 kilometres (6.22 miles) on an undulating road route through town streets and past historic features.
The route passes Castle Walk and offers views of the River Severn. Runners encounter notable hills, including Cartway and Railway Street, as well as downhill sections. The race is held on open roads; participants must keep left and follow marshal instructions. Headphones are not allowed. A water station is provided at the halfway point and first responders are on-site.
Registration takes place under the Town Hall and race numbers must be worn on the front. There are no changing or bag storage facilities, but public toilets are available nearby. All finishers receive a medal and a t-shirt. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers.
The event is organised by Bridgnorth Running Club and attracts local support and a community atmosphere. The organiser notes the race is popular and often sells out early. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
