Bridgewater Police 5K and 1M Kids Fun Run
This is the twelfth annual Bridgewater Police 5K and 1 Mile Kids Fun Run held at the Bridgewater Police Station, 220 Pleasant St, Bridgewater, MA 02324. The course runs through historic downtown Bridgewater and is described as relatively flat. The 5K course is USATF certified, certification number MA15012JK, and follows the same layout used in 2014.
Event offerings include a timed 1 mile kids run and a 5K race. All 5K finishers receive a finishers medal and all kids in the 1 mile fun run receive a ribbon at the finish. Raffles and awards are held after the running events.
The event is limited to 400 participants. T shirts are offered to registered 5K participants; sizes are guaranteed only for entries completed by August 14, 2026. The organizer notes that ladies sizes tend to run small.
Bib pick up and in person registration are available at the Bridgewater Police Department the day before and the morning of the event. In person registrations must be paid by cash or check; credit cards are not accepted on the day of the event. In person registration on event day is subject to available space.
The primary beneficiary is the Plymouth County Critical Incident Stress Management Team. PC CISM provides peer support, one to one conversations, education, and training to first responders and frontline professionals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
