Bridget's Run
Bridget's Run is an annual charity fun run organized by Bridget's Bunnies Pregnancy and Infant Loss Foundation. The event is a community celebration in remembrance of babies lost in pregnancy or infancy. The next scheduled in-person event is Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Centennial Beach Park, Barrie, Ontario. The event also runs as a virtual option so participants can take part from any location. The run supports the foundation's work through fundraising, and organizers offer sponsorship and volunteer opportunities each year.
Course, distances and parking
The on-site route was adjusted this year to accommodate construction while retaining a certified 5 km distance; the course now extends slightly past the South Shore turnaround and volunteers will guide participants along the correct path. Virtual participants may choose their own course and start time and can indicate virtual participation during registration to receive additional support.
- 5 km walk/run
- 1 km Bunny Hop
Parking at waterfront areas follows local rules. Barrie residents must obtain a digital waterfront parking permit for free parking; permits take about 3-5 business days to process via the HotSpot system. Non-resident waterfront parking is charged at a rate of $10 per hour with a daily maximum of $50. Free parking is available in the South lot at Barrie By the Bay, at 80 Bradford Street, about an eight minute walk to Centennial Beach Park.
