Bridget's Run

Bridget's Run is an annual community event held in Barrie, Ontario, at Centennial Beach Park. The gathering serves as a celebration of love and remembrance for those lost during pregnancy or infancy. It brings together families, friends, and the wider community to honor the legacies of their babies while raising funds to provide support for families in crisis and to advocate for awareness surrounding infant loss.

The event offers specific distances for participants to choose from:

  • 5 km run/walk
  • 1 km Bunny Hop

The 5 km route follows a waterfront path that has been modified to accommodate local construction, ensuring a full distance is maintained. The path extends past the South Shore turnaround point, with volunteers stationed along the route to provide direction.

For those unable to attend the event in person at Centennial Beach Park, a virtual participation option is available. Virtual participants can complete their run or walk from any location worldwide, selecting their own course and start time. This option allows individuals, co-workers, or community groups to participate together regardless of their physical proximity to Barrie.

Parking near the event site includes several options. Barrie residents with a valid digital waterfront permit can park for free in designated waterfront areas. Non-residents may use waterfront parking for a hourly fee or utilize free parking at the South lot located at 80 Bradford Street, which is an eight-minute walk from the event grounds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
