About Bridget's Run

Bridget's Run is an annual community celebration in remembrance of babies lost during pregnancy or infancy. The event brings together friends, families, and the community to honour the legacies of their children.

Participation is available in-person or virtually. The main event is held at Centennial Beach Park in Barrie, Ontario, but participants can join from anywhere by setting up their own virtual run or walk.

The Route

The event offers two distances:

  • 5 km for running or walking.
  • 1 km for the "Bunny Hop".

The 5 km route has been slightly modified from previous years to accommodate construction but remains a true 5 km distance.

Practical Information

Parking is available near the event site. Barrie residents can obtain a digital permit for free parking in specific waterfront areas. Free parking is also available at 80 Bradford Street, an approximately 8-minute walk from Centennial Beach Park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
