Bridges 5K 2026 - Race To End Homelessness
A community fundraising running event held on October 18, 2026 at The Village Green on Maple Street in Summit, New Jersey. Proceeds support Bridges' efforts to prevent and end homelessness in Essex, Union and Somerset counties. Bridges was founded in Summit almost 40 years ago and focuses on street outreach and intensive case management addressing health, housing, and independence.
The event includes the following distances:
- 5K run or walk
- 1 mile Kids Fun Run
Registration details differ by event: 5K registration opens September 2 and closes October 2, with an early fee of $40 and an increase after October 2; the Kids Fun Run registration opens September 2 and remains available through the event day with a fee listed as $10. T-shirts for 5K participants are only guaranteed for registrations completed by October 2. Kids Fun Run participants receive a medal and a prize; no t-shirt is provided for the kids event.
On-site features and logistics include a single water station on the course, post-race refreshments with water, fruit, and packaged snacks, a live DJ, volunteer opportunities, awards for top fundraisers and top racers, and parking on nearby streets and municipal lots.
