Bridge of Flowers Classic
The Bridge of Flowers Classic is an annual road race in Shelburne Falls, MA that has been held since 1979 and draws several hundred participants. The event offers two measured distances: an 8K and a 3K. The 3K follows the same first 1.8 miles as the 8K.
The course runs mostly on scenic, rolling, well marked, paved roads and both start and finish are in downtown Shelburne Falls. On-course music features a DJ and local musicians. Official results are provided after the event by Granite State Racing Services.
The race is presented by Greenfield Savings Bank with DIAL/SELF Youth & Community Services as the fiscal sponsor and primary nonprofit beneficiary. DIAL/SELF is a community-based agency serving Western Massachusetts since 1977 that connects young people with housing, income, education and civic opportunities.
Awards include overall and age-group prizes with specified prize money for the 8K overall categories and a course record bonus. Race proceeds support DIAL/SELF. Registration is available online until August 5 and there is no race day registration. Packet pickup and parking are organized at the local elementary school near the start/finish area.
Commemorative shirts and sweatshirts are available to participants who meet fundraising thresholds by specified dates. No refunds will be given. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
