Bridge of Flowers Classic and 3K Race
The Bridge of Flowers Classic is an annual road race in downtown Shelburne Falls, MA that includes an 8K road race and a 3K run or walk. The course is mostly on scenic, rolling, well marked, paved roads and both distances start and finish in downtown Shelburne Falls. The 3K follows the same first 1.8 miles of the 8K course.
Amenities on course include music from a DJ and local musicians. Results are provided after the race by Granite State Racing Services.
Participants select a competition category at entry from Female, Male, or Any Gender. Awards and a post race gathering take place at the Blue Rock Restaurant, a quarter mile from the finish that overlooks downtown and the glacial potholes. Prize structure for the 8K includes overall payouts of $250, $150, and $100 for the top three in Male, Female, and Open categories, age group awards across six categories of $50 each, and a $200 bonus for breaking the standing 8K course records (24:25 for the faster record and 28:47 for the other record). The 3K offers local gift card prizes for top overall and age group winners.
Registration is available online until Wednesday, August 5 at 5pm. There is no race day registration. Packet pickup and parking are at Buckland Shelburne Elementary School, about half a mile from the start and finish.
