Brentwood Half Marathon 2027
The Brentwood Half Marathon marks its 45th anniversary on Sunday 21 March 2027. The event is organized by Brentwood Half Marathon C.I.C. (Licence No: #31476) and is described as the largest event of its kind in Essex.
For 2027 the event base has moved to the Brentwood Centre. A new course has been established that is entirely on rural roads and starts and finishes at the Brentwood Centre. Much of the 2026 route has been retained. Organisers are in discussion with Essex Highways about the feasibility of closing the whole route for the duration of the event.
The change of base follows an approach from Everyone Active, who manage the Brentwood Centre on behalf of Brentwood Borough Council. Stated benefits of the new arrangement include improved runner safety, increased parking availability, consolidated facilities in one central location, and the organising experience provided by Everyone Active. Organisers note potential to increase entries after selling out in 2025 and 2026.
