Brentwood Half Marathon
The Brentwood Half Marathon marks its 45th anniversary on Sunday 21st March 2027. The event base has moved to the Brentwood Centre after an approach from Everyone Active, who manage the Brentwood Centre on behalf of Brentwood Borough Council. The course is a new route that is entirely on rural roads and both starts and finishes at the Brentwood Centre. Much of the 2026 route has been retained in the new layout.
Organisers are in discussions with Essex Highways to assess the feasibility of closing the whole route for the duration of the event. The move to the Brentwood Centre is described as improving runner safety and providing an abundance of parking, with all facilities in one central location. Everyone Active brings experience in handling large events.
The event has previously sold out in 2025 and 2026, and organisers note potential to increase entries with the new base and route. A Strava group has been set up for participants.
