Brentwood Half Marathon 2027
The Brentwood Half Marathon marks its 45th anniversary and takes place on Sunday 21 March 2027. The event is organised as a half marathon and is staged by Brentwood Half Marathon C.I.C.
For 2027 the base has moved to the Brentwood Centre. A new route has been established that runs entirely on rural roads and starts and finishes at the Brentwood Centre. Much of the 2026 route has been retained. Organisers are discussing with Essex Highways the feasibility of closing the whole route for the duration of the event.
Organisers list several benefits from the move: improved runner safety, abundant parking, consolidated facilities in a central location and the operational experience of Everyone Active, who manage the Brentwood Centre. The event sold out in 2025 and 2026, and organisers note the potential to increase entries and to help ensure the event’s future.
The event has been recognised with an award. A Strava group has been set up for participants and followers. Results, photos and a video from the 2026 race are referenced as available for review. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
