Brentwood Firecracker 5K
The Brentwood Firecracker 5K is a Fourth of July running event held in Brentwood, Pennsylvania on 07/04/2027. The race was established in 1983 and is staged at Brentwood Towne Square, 600 Towne Square Way, Brentwood, PA 15227. The event covers a 5K (3.1 mile) course along Brownsville Road.
Each year a couple thousand runners, joggers, and walkers of varying ages take part. The race course runs along Brownsville Road and the event starts in front of Brentwood Towne Square. The Brentwood 4th of July Parade begins immediately after the race, extending the local festivities.
Race offerings include awards for top overall finishers, masters (40+) and all age groups, a commemorative race-day t-shirt, and entrance into raffles with a top cash prize of $500. The event supports several local organizations, including the Brentwood Fire Department, Baldwin EMS, Brentwood Library, the Brentwood 4th of July Parade Committee, and the Brentwood Food Pantry. A post-race celebration at Brentwood Towne Square provides refreshments, an awards ceremony, and raffle prize drawings.
Registration opens April 1 and closes in early July. The registration fee is $25. Early registration is used to guarantee race-day shirt sizes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
