Bremerton Marathon
The 5th annual Bremerton Marathon, organized by Kitsap Running, takes place on Saturday, April 18, 2026. The event features three distinct distances that showcase the scenery of the Pacific Northwest:
- Marathon (42.195 km)
- Half Marathon (21.1 km)
- 10K (10 km)
The marathon course is a complete loop around Dyes Inlet, passing through locations such as Manette, Illahee, Silverdale, and Brownsville. Participants cross the Manette and Warren Avenue bridges and encounter views of the waterfront, forests, and potentially Mount Rainier and the Olympic Mountains. This course is characterized by rolling and intense hills and is primarily run on open roads with a few street crossings. Aid stations are situated every 2 to 4 miles.
The half marathon joins the full marathon route at Chico and continues through Bremerton to the finish. The 10K option, introduced in 2026, follows an out-and-back route covering the first 3.1 miles of the marathon course, including the climb up 11th Street and the hills of Trenton Avenue.
Registration includes options for an athletic T-shirt as an add-on. Specific time limits are enforced for the safety of all participants: 7 hours for the marathon, 5 hours for the half marathon, and 2 hours and 15 minutes for the 10K. Due to insurance requirements, strollers and pets are not permitted on the course. Parking is available at Olympic College and Newberry Hill Heritage Park depending on the chosen distance.
