About the race
BREAST CANCER AWARENESS FUN RUN/WALK - COLOUR RUN is a charity event in Port Alfred at Guido's Port Alfred supporting a local single mother with Stage 3 breast cancer and her two children. The event is family-friendly and inclusive; wheelchair participants, prams, children and elders are explicitly welcome.
Participants choose between two non-competitive distances:
- 2.5 km
- 6 km
The event is a colour run edition where the only colour throw will be pink for breast cancer awareness. Participants are asked to wear a white shirt so they finish covered in pink. There are no timers; the atmosphere is intended to be relaxed with music, community interaction, photography and moments of solidarity.
Prizes will be awarded for best dressed and best team spirit. Ticket options listed are: Adults R100 which includes a handcrafted Zulu Love Letter beaded pin, and Children R60 which includes face painting. Bulk orders and group bookings are available with a group discount. All funds after costs are allocated to support the named Port Alfred mother and her two children.
