About the race
Ukee Run Club presents the third annual Breakaway 8k Race, an unsanctioned community running event held at The Break Cafe & Bistro in Ucluelet, BC. The course is an approximately 8 km loop that mixes paved road and trail terrain and follows hills on local Ukee roads and sections of the Wild Pacific Trail.
Registration takes place at the picnic tables outside The Break Cafe. The route will be sent to participants by email. Participants are advised to record times on their own devices or on Strava, since the event is unsanctioned and does not provide official timing.
Post-race offerings include treats, coffee and baked goods provided by The Break Cafe and Yayu, and a selection of prizes. Attendees are asked to bring a personal mug and water bottle. Parking is limited to nearby street and lot spaces; carpooling is suggested.
