Event details
The Break Bread Bun Run is a 5K community road race scheduled for June 13, 2026 in Valdosta, GA. The course begins and ends in the lower-level parking lot of the YMCA at 2424 Gornto Road and winds through the Old Wood Valley subdivision. Registration has a fee of $25, and registration opens March 24, 2026. Walkers are welcome and participants are expected to finish in 60 minutes or less. Make checks payable to First Presbyterian Church of Valdosta.
Awards and beneficiary
Awards are given to the top two male and top two female finishers in these age groups: 11 and under; 12-14; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 and over. Proceeds support the Break Bread Together Ministry, which provides one meal a day, five days a week to low-income and homebound senior citizens in the Valdosta area. The program began more than 40 years ago at First Presbyterian Church of Valdosta and is funded by local contributions and special events.
