Event Overview
The Bread of Life Outreach Center Wellness Day 5K Trail Run takes place at Sprague Brook County Park in Glenwood, New York. The event also includes a non-timed 2-mile trail walk. The start and finish line is near the park's Warming Shelter.
Course Details
The 5 km trail run and 2 mile walk take place primarily on wide groomed trails and grass within the park. Professional electronic timing is provided for the 5K.
Registration and Fees
The registration fee is $35 for both the 5K run and the 2-mile walk, applicable through race day. Participants who register by September 1st receive a guaranteed gift. The first 100 registrants receive an additional keepsake gift. There is no refund policy.
Schedule and Location
Packet pickup occurs at the Sprague Brook Warming Hut from 8:30 AM until the race start. The event starts at 10:00 AM. Free parking is available at the park, but participants are asked not to park in the campsite area.
Post-Race Activities
After the event, participants are invited to a celebration at the Bread of Life Outreach Center, a short drive away. All participants receive a food and beverage coupon and one free door prize ticket. Awards are announced at approximately 11:30 AM. The post-race celebration includes raffles, kid-friendly activities, and a Wellness Fair. An art festival is also scheduled in town.
Awards
Trophies are awarded to the first-place overall male and female finishers of the 5K. Age group medals are awarded for the following categories: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 and older.
