Brayden's Benefit 5k Run/Walk
This is a 3.1 mile course that starts and ends at Stony Fork Campground in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania. The route follows grass, gravel and dirt trails and includes two creek crossings, so participants should expect wet footing on parts of the course.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Chromosome 18 Registry and Research Society in honor of the event namesake. Medals will be awarded to the overall male and female finishers, and additional medals will be given for first, second and third place in each age category.
Age categories are 12 and under, 13 to 17, 18 to 22, 23 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79, and 80 plus. Registration carries a stated fee of $20. Refreshments will be available prior to the awards presentation.
