Buffalo Brains in Motion event overview
Buffalo Brains in Motion is a Brain Aneurysm Awareness Run and 1 Mile Fun Walk held on September 19, 2026, in Williamsville, New York. The start and finish are located at Atlas Surgery Center, 50 George Karl Blvd, Williamsville, NY 14221, and the course follows a proposed map for the site.

Online registration remains open until race start and race-day registration and packet pickup will take place at Atlas Surgery Center. Participants who register for the 5K or walk before 8/31/26 are guaranteed an official race shirt in their requested size; a limited supply of extra shirts will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Registration fees for the 5K are $40 early bird before 8/7/26, $45 after 8/7/26, and $50 on race day. The 1-Mile Fun Walk fee is $45 with a $50 race-day fee.
A team challenge option lets registrants create a team name; teams must include at least five members and the average time of the top five team members determines the fastest team. Awards will be presented to the top overall male and female 5K finishers and to top finishers in age groups. Post-race activities include refreshments, awards, guest speakers, Atlas Surgery Center tours, a research introduction, and informational tables.
Gun start and chip finish timing using Jaguar Electronic RFID is provided by Race Management Solutions. Real-time results and downloadable finisher certificates will be available via the event timing and results platforms. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
