Event
The Bowling Green Sprint Triathlon & Kids Triathlon takes place on August 30, 2026 in Bowling Green, KY at Preston Miller Park, 2303 Tomblinson Way. The race program includes an individual triathlon, Athena and Clydesdale divisions, a triathlon relay, a sprint aquabike (swim-bike division), and a kids triathlon. Entry fees listed are $90 for most adult individual events, $155 for the relay team, and $40 for the kids triathlon.
Course and distances
The adult triathlon format uses a 400-meter swim, a 14-mile bike, and a 5 km run. The kids event uses a 50-meter swim, a 3-mile bike, and a 1-mile run.

The swim takes place in the Russell Sim Aquatic Center using 50-meter lanes in a serpentine swim. The bike course leaves the park onto Veterans Boulevard, goes through neighborhood roadways in a loop, and returns to the park via Veterans Boulevard. The run is a 5 km out-and-back on park paths and trails with paved and rock-chip surfaces. Kids courses are being redeveloped with city officials.
Regulations, awards and athlete items
The event is USA Triathlon sanctioned and requires each participant to have a USAT membership; a one-day membership is available during registration. Each registrant receives a shirt and a finisher gift. Awards are given to the top three male and female overall, top masters male and female overall, and top three in multiple age groups from 15-19 through 80+.
