Bowling Green Sprint Triathlon & Kids Triathlon
The Bowling Green Sprint Triathlon and Kids Triathlon takes place at Preston Miller Park. This USA Triathlon Sanctioned event features a variety of categories to accommodate different participants, including individual entries, heavy-weight divisions, and relay teams.
The sprint distance event follows a specific three part course:
- 400 Meters swim: Held at the Russel Sim Aquatic Center, utilizing 50-meter lanes in a serpentine format.
- 14 Miles bike: A looped course starting from the park, traveling along Veterans Blvd and through local neighborhood roadways.
- 5 Kilometers run: An out-and-back route moving through the park and along trails, featuring surface materials of pavement and rock chips.

- Individual Triathlon
- Athena Triathlon (165+ Female Weight Class)
- Clydesdale Triathlon (220+ Male Weight Class)
- Triathlon Relay Team
- Sprint Aquabike (Swim and Bike only)
- Kids Triathlon (50 M Swim, 3 Mile Bike, 1 Mile Run)
The Kids Triathlon is part of the USA Triathlon Youth State Series. All participants receive a shirt and a finisher's gift with their registration. Awards are provided for the top three male and female finishers overall, top masters, and the top three finishers across age groups ranging from 15-19 to 80+.
