Event overview
Bowland Ultra 2026 is a 42-mile event on Saturday 10th January 2026, starting and finishing at Slaidburn Village Hall, Slaidburn, Clitheroe, BB7 3ES. The unmarked route covers 42 miles with 5,577 ft (1,700 m) of ascent and uses a mix of vehicle tracks, flowing trails, roads, techy singletrack and sections of bog. The route follows local village halls for checkpoints and includes four fully equipped aid stations offering warm drinks, soups, sandwiches and a pasta meal at CP3. A finishers meal and a finishers memento are provided.
Logistics and entry
Entries open 1 July 2025 and close 1 January 2026. Minimum age is 18 on the event date. Entry fees are listed as Affiliated £83.00 and Unaffiliated £89.00. Refunds and transfers are permitted with conditions: refunds and transfers are possible until 1 November (minus admin fees), refunds until 1 December minus 50%, and transfers or swaps are allowed from 1 December with restrictions; entries are locked from 1 January. The event offers optional third-party race insurance (XCover).
Race materials include a route GPX and maps (maps also provided at registration). GPS tracking for followers is provided.
