Event Information
The Bowdon Founders Day 5K is presented by Bowdon Main Street and is described as the longest-standing 5k in West Georgia. The event is part of the town's Founders Day celebrations, which include a parade and downtown vendors.
The primary event is a 5K run on historic Main Street in Bowdon, Georgia. The course is USATF certified. A "Here for the Shirt" registration option is also available.
Registration and Logistics
Registration fees are $30 for pre-registration through July 20 and $35 after that date. Pre-registration is noted to help avoid long lines and guarantee a race T-shirt. Same-day registration is available starting at 6:15 AM behind the Bowdon Municipal Building at 182 Grammar School Road.
Packet pickup for pre-registered participants is available on Friday, July 31, at God’s Gym on 139 City Hall Ave., Suite A, Bowdon, between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
Awards and Timing
The race features chip timing with live results on race day. Awards are given for overall male and female winners, as well as Master and Grand Master categories. The top three finishers in all age groups, from 10 and under through 75+, also receive awards.
