Boundary Park Tri
Boundary Park Tri is a chip timed open water triathlon held at Boundary Water Park in Cheshire. The event offers multiple race formats including standard, sprint, relay and aquabike, and is run on measured swim, bike and run legs.
Distances follow defined lap formats and are listed by category:
- Swim: Standard 1 km (2 laps); Sprint 500 m (1 lap)
- Bike: Standard 54 km (2 laps); Sprint 27 km (1 lap)
- Run: Standard 10 km (2 laps); Sprint 5 km (1 lap)
The bike course is described as draft legal and is held mainly on quiet public roads. Technical rules restrict time trial style equipment; aero bars are not permitted, handlebars must be plugged and bottles may not be mounted on handlebars or clip ons. Aquabike competitors complete the swim and bike legs and must dismount before crossing the finish line. Relay teams change over in transition.
Open water conditions are noted as around 16°C so wetsuit use is optional. The organiser advises competitors to bring appropriate clothing, nutrition and a bike in working order. Registration and main parking are located at Allostock Village Hall, about half a mile from the race venue, with kit drop options at the venue.
