Boundary Park Tri & Aquabike
The Boundary Park Tri & Aquabike takes place at Boundary Water Park in Cheshire. The event features multiple race formats across flat courses on local lanes and (quiet) public roads. Participants can enter as individuals or as part of a relay team consisting of two to three people. The minimum age for entry is 16.
Participants can choose from the following event options:
- Standard Tri: 900m open water swim, 55km bike (2 laps), and 10km run (2 laps).
- Sprint Tri: 450m open water swim, 27km bike (1 lap), and 5km run (1 lap).
- Aquabike: 900m open water swim and 55km bike (2 laps).
- Standard Tri Relay: A team-based version of the standard triathlon distance.
The swim portion is conducted in an open water lake where wetsuits are typically optional if water temperatures allow. The cycling segment is a draft-legal race. Due to safety regulations for draft-legal racing on public roads, specific equipment rules apply, such as the prohibition of clip-ons and tri-bars. Standard road bikes, mountain bikes, and hybrids are permitted.
Registration and primary car parking are located at Allostock Village Hall, situated approximately half a mile from the Boundary venue. Competitors have the option to drop off kit boxes or bags at the water park before parking at the hall. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
