Boundary Park Tri
Boundary Park Tri takes place at Boundary Water Park in Cheshire. The event offers standard and sprint triathlon distances, relay teams and an aquabike category on courses described as fast and largely flat.
The event format includes open water swimming in the lake and road cycling on predominantly quiet public roads, with a run around local lanes. Race equipment rules state the event is draft legal and will reference British Triathlon rules; time trial bikes are not permitted. Handlebars must be plugged, aero bars are not allowed, clip on extensions must not extend beyond the brake levers, and bottles may not be mounted on handlebars. Using front and rear bike lights is recommended for safety.
Registration and spectator parking are at Allostock Village Hall, about half a mile from the Boundary venue. Competitors may drop kit at the lake before parking at the village hall and walking back to the start area. Parking on nearby main roads is not permitted. Swim caps and race numbers are provided at registration.
Wetsuits are optional; water temperature is expected to be around 14 to 15 degrees Celsius. Participants are advised to bring suitable clothing, nutrition and a bike in good working order.
