The event takes place inside West Edmonton Mall and offers several distance options. It is organized by BougeBouge, a nonprofit organization focused on reducing physical disengagement among teenagers, young families, and retirees.

Ticket prices range from $33.00 to $43.00 and group discounts apply: 10% for 5 to 9 tickets and 15% for 10 or more. Online registrations close one week before the event and a limited number of on-site registrations may be available on race day, but spots and bibs are not guaranteed. To receive a personalized bib, registration must be completed at least 10 days before the event; personalized medals must be added during online registration.
Timing is provided by Sportstats and results are published by age categories. The event is overseen by the athletic federation, includes cut offs and recommended split times, and uses wave starts organized by expected finishing times. Event rules note that strollers are not allowed, mechanical escalators must not be used, and stair steps must be taken one at a time.
