About the race
The BougeBouge West Edmonton Mall event is an indoor running event held at West Edmonton Mall on 28 February 2027. The main distance is a 5-kilometre course set inside the mall; additional options listed include a 5 km walk and a 2.5 km intergenerational distance.

The event is presented as weather-protected with timed wave starts and paced groups categorized by expected finish: Red (under 29 minutes), Yellow (30-34 minutes), Blue (35-45 minutes), Green (46 minutes and above). Timing and results are managed by a third-party timing company and results are sorted by age groups up to 70+ years. Cut-offs and recommended split times are applied at points along the course.
Participant services and rules include on-site locker storage (items must be in a bag with a bib-number sticker), public toilets on course, a water item placed in the race bag at the finish, and a photo album published after the event. Strollers are not permitted and escalator use is prohibited; stairs must be climbed and descended one step at a time. Headphone use is allowed only if athletes can hear outside sounds.
