Boréal X-Country 2026

The Boréal X-Country is a cross-country running event held on Saturday 7 November 2026 at the Parc-nature du Bois-de-l’Île-Bizard. The event includes multiple race options over forest and park terrain near the Centre socio-culturel de l'Île-Bizard.

The course surface includes fine gravel and forest trails with uneven surfaces and moderate hills. A water table is provided at the midpoint of the 10 km course; there is no water table on the 5 km course. The 5 km start is on Montée de l'Église, approximately 800 m from the Centre socio-culturel; the 1 km and 10 km share a start location on Montée de l'Église.

Parking and bib pickup take place at the Centre socio-culturel de l'Île-Bizard, 490 Montée de l'Église. On-site registration is available before the races and bib pickup happens on race day at the same centre; participants must confirm registration and present a photo ID.

The event features an after-race meal with a variety of homemade soups and desserts. Two photographers will document the day and photos will be posted on the club Facebook page. The event also collects non-perishable food donations for local charities: Mission de l’Ouest-de-l’Île and the Refuge pour femmes de l’Ouest-de-l’Île. Medals are awarded to the top three men and women in the 5 km and 10 km, and participation medals are given to children in the 1 km. Sponsor prizes are distributed during the event.
