Booneville Backroads Ultra
The Booneville Backroads Ultra in Booneville, Iowa takes place on rural roads and passes through several Bridges of Madison County and small local communities. The course includes thousands of feet of elevation gain, numerous hills, and level B roads that can become difficult when wet.

Organizer notes for 2026 include three main changes: marking the 50K, 100K, and 100 Miler courses while still requiring participants to carry cue sheets; offering discounts to female runners affiliated with Trail Sisters groups; and permitting crew support on course with restrictions of one crew vehicle per participant or one crew vehicle per group.
