Boone Brave Run : 18th Annual 5K
The Boone High School Athletic Association presents the 18th Annual Boone 5K Brave Run at Boone High School stadium and track in Orlando. The event is a community running and walking event open to students, alumni, families, runners and walkers. The course leaves the stadium and runs along tree-lined streets through neighborhoods near Boone, passing Delaney Park, Lake Davis and Cherokee Park.
Entry categories and fees listed by age group include free entry for children 6 and under, reduced student rates, and an adult rate for those 20 and older. For participants aged 14 and up, half of the registration fee may be designated to a specific Boone athletic team or club; the remaining half covers race costs and supports athletic facility improvements and team needs. Teams and clubs are eligible for spirit prizes of $500, $250 and $150 based on the number of registrations designated to each team.
Packet pickup is handled at Boone’s front office on the two days before the event; race day parking is available in the student lot off Mills Avenue and the faculty lot off Summerlin Avenue. Medals will be awarded to the top three finishing female and male students. A virtual participation option is available for those who cannot attend in person.
