Boone 5K Brave Run
The Boone 5K Brave Run takes place on February 20, 2027 at Boone High School, 1000 E. Kaley St., Orlando, FL 32806. The event begins in the Boone stadium and the route passes through tree lined streets and neighborhoods around Boone, including Delaney Park, Lake Davis and Cherokee Park.
The distance offered is 5K. Registration opens on November 24, 2026 and closes on February 20, 2027. Published registration amounts include $10 for ages 6-13, $30 for ages 14-19, $40 for adults 20 and over, and free entry for ages 6 and under. For participants age 14 and up, 50 percent of each registration may be designated to the Boone athletic team or club of the participant's choice; the remaining funds cover race costs and support Boone athletic facility improvements and team needs.
Medals are awarded to the top three finishing female and male students. Teams and clubs are eligible for spirit awards of $500, $250 and $150 based on the number of registrations designated to that team.
Packet pick up is available at Boone's front office on Thursday, February 19 and Friday, February 20 during morning and midday windows, and on Thursday, February 19 at Johnny's Other Side in the evening. Race day parking is available in the student lot off Mills Avenue and the faculty lot off Summerlin Avenue; the faculty lot will close at 7:30am.
