Bold in the Cold 5K and 15K
Bold in the Cold is the 27th running of an event organized by Lake Grapevine Runners and Walkers. The races take place at the Lake Grapevine Runners and Walkers Clubhouse at Oak Grove Park (Softball Complex), 2615 Dove Loop Rd, Grapevine, TX, and use trails around Lake Grapevine, including the C. Shane Wilbanks Trail.
Two distances are offered:
- 5K
- 15K
Both races start simultaneously. The 15K course diverges from the 5K course at approximately 2.8 miles, while the 5K splits from the 15K near the finish. The course will be well marked and course marshals will guide participants.
Registration opens October 10, 2026 and closes November 1, 2026. Registration fees are listed as $30 for the 5K and $45 for the 15K.
The event contributes to LGRAW’s annual operating budget. Thirty percent or more of this year’s race proceeds will be donated to the LGRAW Scholarship Fund to benefit local area track and cross-country runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
