Boka Marathon
The Boka Marathon is a multi-distance running event held in Montenegro, spanning the areas of Tivat and Kotor. The event features a diverse range of distances to accommodate different levels of participation, including:
- Marathon (42 km)
- Half Marathon (21 km)
- 10 km race
- 5 km pleasure run
- Boka Mile (400 m to 1600 m)
The course connects the coastal towns of Tivat and Kotor, characterized by a super fast and flat profile. The marathon and half marathon routes carry an AIMS certificate, ensuring international standards for measurement. The start and finish logistics are centered around the Sports Hall Župa in Tivat and the historic city of Kotor.
The event is organized over two days. The shorter distances, specifically the 10 km and the 5 km, take place on the first day, while the longer endurance events, the marathon and half marathon, are held on the second day.
Participants can reach the location via Tivat Airport, which offers international flights. Alternative travel options include Dubrovnik Airport in Croatia, located approximately 45 minutes away, or Podgorica Airport, which is an 80-minute drive from the event site.
