Time Travel Half-Marathon/5K/10K - Des Moines
The event at Altoona Aquatics Park in Altoona, Iowa, on January 31, 2027, offers multiple in-person race distances and a virtual option. Distances range from a kid's dash through a half marathon and include timed road races with awards for select distances.
Chip-timing with live results and awards is provided for the 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon. Many race entries include a custom bib, a designer event shirt, and a finisher medal. Free photos are offered for participants. A virtual event option includes a digital bib, event shirt, finisher medal, and packet shipping; mailed packets ship the Wednesday after the race and participants can upload results and photos to the event pages.
The Kid's Dash is an untimed 100 meter dash for children ages 10 and under and includes a mini bib, youth-sized shirt, and a custom kids' medal. Children may run the Kid's Dash without the swag at no charge. The Volunteer then Run option asks volunteers to arrive 30 minutes before packet pickup and allows running any distance afterward.
A shirt guarantee applies for registrations completed by midnight on the Thursday two weeks before race day. Listed registration fees vary by event, for example the Half Marathon fee is $50, 5K and 10K fees are $30, and the virtual event fee is $42.
