Heatwave Half Marathon, 10K, 5K - Denver
The event in Denver on July 17, 2027 offers multiple in-person race distances and a virtual option. Most in-person distances include a custom bib, designer shirt, and a finisher medal.
Distances offered include:
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 10K
- 5K
- 1 Mile (untimed)
- Kid's Dash (50 m) for ages 10 and under
- Virtual race and Volunteer Then Run options
Chip-timing with live results and awards is provided for the 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon. The 1 Mile and Kid's Dash are untimed; the Kid's Dash registration includes a mini bib, youth-sized shirt, and a specially crafted medal. The Volunteer Then Run option asks volunteers to arrive 30 minutes before packet pickup and allows them to run afterward at a distance of their choice. The Running Buddy Half Marathon requires prior approval.
Virtual participants may run any day at any location; registration for the virtual race includes a digital bib, event shirt, finisher medal, and packet shipping. Packets for virtual entries are mailed and ship the Wednesday after the race; participants can upload times and photos to the event results and photos pages. Youth pricing applies for some distances: ages 12 and under are $17 for the 5K and 10K. Register by midnight on Thursday two Thursdays before race day to guarantee a shirt.
