Bobcat Scorcher 5K
The Bobcat Scorcher is the 15th annual community 5K Run/Walk held at Bluffton High School in Bluffton, South Carolina on August 8, 2026. The event gathers runners, walkers, students, alumni, and neighbors to support local youth and education.
The course begins and ends at Bluffton High School and runs through the heart of Bluffton. Proceeds benefit the Bluffton High School cross country program and local scholarship funds aimed at supporting students and student-athletes. The organizer provides a commemorative tri-blend race shirt to the first 300 registered participants.
Awards include custom finisher medals for the overall male and female champions and medals for the top three finishers in each age division: 12 and under, 13 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79, and 80 plus. Registration fees shown for the listed entries are $35 for the standard 5K and $30 for the student discount category. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race at Palmetto Running Company in Bluffton.
