Event Information
The Blueberry 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run takes place in Alma, Georgia on June 6, 2026. It is held in conjunction with the Georgia Blueberry Festival.
The event offers two distances: a 5k and a 1 mile fun run.
Registration and Fees
Early registration for the 5k is $25 until April 30, 2026. Participants who register by May 6, 2026 are guaranteed a shirt in their requested size. Late registration increases to $30 from May 1 to June 4, $35 on June 5, and $40 on race day (cash or checks only). Late registrants may receive a shirt on a first-come, first-served basis. The 1 mile fun run has an entry fee of $5, and participants receive a water bottle.
Additional Activities
There is a First Responders Challenge scheduled before the main events. Teams from local departments compete in designated gear, and the winning department receives a traveling trophy. Packet pickup occurs on Friday, June 5 at a gazebo within the Blueberry Festival and on Saturday morning at First Baptist Church in Alma. A Blueberry Pancake Breakfast is also available nearby on the day of the event, hosted by the Alma Lions Club.
Awards
Awards are presented after the 1 mile race. Categories include first place Overall Male and Female, as well as first place in various age groups. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
