Blue Mountain Bash
The third annual Blue Mountain Bash Trail 5K takes place in the Blue Mountains in southeast Washington inside the Umatilla National Forest. The out and back trail course begins at the Boundary Trailhead and follows the North-South Trail to the turnaround at Rose Springs SnoPark. The North-South Trail is described as a wide, rolling route that runs on trail surfaces.
This event serves as the culminating race for the SoleKids, Pomeroy spring 2026 season. SoleKids is a Boise-based non-profit that runs spring and fall programs for children from prekindergarten to fifth grade, meeting twice weekly for eight weeks and training for a 5K race.
Transport to the race includes a shuttle operated by the Garfield County Transportation Authority from the Pomeroy High School parking lot to Boundary Campground; two outbound trips and two return trips are scheduled. The shuttle is included with registration.
On-course facilities include a vault near the start and finish area and vault toilets at Boundary Campground and Rose Springs SnoPark. An aid station with water and snacks will be located at the turnaround at Rose Springs SnoPark.
All finishers will receive shirts and medals; registrants who want a guaranteed shirt are advised of a registration deadline for that guarantee. Awards will be presented to the top three male and female overall finishers and to the top three male and female SoleKids runners. The event also notes accommodations for financial hardship and free entry for SoleKids, Pomeroy participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
