Blue Bully Ultra - Blue Mountain Resort, ON - September 25–27, 2026
Blue Bully Ultra is a three-day trail stage event offering three distinct race formats with Big Bully and Little Bully distance options. The races take place on mountain and wilderness trails in the region.
- Day 1 - 5 km: 400 m elevation gain
- Day 2 - 50 km / 25 km: 2,800 m / 1,600 m elevation gain
- Day 3 - 2.5 km loop: about 125 m elevation gain per loop (timed)
Day 1 is a short, vertical-focused race. Day 2 is a cross-country distance stage with 25 km and 50 km options; there is also a Woolly Bully kids race for participants aged 15 and under. Day 3 is a three-hour timed loop race where competitors complete as many 2.5 km laps as they choose.
There is a daily awards presentation for the top three male and female finishers, and overall awards for competitors who complete all three days in the Big Bully and Little Bully categories. The race provides medical and search-and-rescue support, aid stations and checkpoints along the stages, and rules for support crews and drop bags. Drop bags must not exceed 15 kg and 75 x 50 x 40 cm and should be water resistant. For 2026 the 25k/50k route was revised to reduce trail crossovers and the Day 3 loop was shortened to 2.5 km. Each day includes a designated participation item, and competitors signed up for all three days receive meal tickets for the post-race meals on the applicable days.
