Blue Bully Ultra : Overview
The Blue Bully Ultra is a three-day stage trail race held September 25-27, 2026 at Blue Mountain Resort, Ontario. The event offers entry for individual days or for all three days as a combined event. Two overall options cover the weekend distances: the Big Bully (longer distances) and the Little Bully (shorter distances). The weekend includes a Woolly Bully Kids Race and live music and social events on Saturday. Organizers provide on-course medical and search and rescue support.
Course and race format
- Day 1: 5 km / 400 m elevation gain
- Day 2: 50 km / 1,800 m or 25 km / 1,250 m elevation gain
- Day 3: 3.75 km loop / 250 m elevation gain per loop; 3-hour and 1.5-hour timed options
Each day has an awards ceremony for the top three female and male finishers. Overall weekend awards are given for Big Bully and Little Bully winners. Kids race age categories are provided for males and females in 9 & under, 10-12, and 13-15 divisions.
Support, aid stations and gear
Aid stations and checkpoints vary by function; some provide water, electrolytes and snacks while others are junctions only. Runners may use support crews or drop bags at specified checkpoints; drop bags must be under 15 kg and no larger than 75 cm x 50 cm x 40 cm. Caching gear at checkpoints is not allowed. Participants registered for all three days receive specific daily swag items and tickets to the Friday and Saturday post-race meals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
