About the race
The Blue Bully Ultra is a three-day stage race held at the Blue Mountain Resort in Ontario. Set against the autumn scenery of the Bruce Peninsula, the event features three distinct styles of racing over consecutive days. Participants have the option to register for individual days or complete the full weekend experience.
The weekend itinerary includes three specific events:
- The Stampede: A short, fast event covering 5km with 400m of elevation gain.
- The Drive: A cross-country classic offering distances of 25km (1,600m elevation gain) or 50km (2,800m elevation gain).
- The Round-Up: A timed loop race on a 2.5km circuit with 150m of elevation gain per lap, where participants complete as many loops as possible in three hours.
The event is Trail Sisters Approved and includes the Woolly Bully Kids' Race for participants aged 15 and under. Aid stations and checkpoints are positioned throughout the courses. Support crews and drop bags are permitted at designated locations depending on the race distance.
Participants receive specific items based on the days they race, including a microfiber neck tube, a technical tee, and a custom toque. Those registered for all three days also receive tickets for post-race meals on Friday and Saturday. Daily award ceremonies recognize the top three male and female finishers, with overall awards presented on Sunday for those completing the full multi-day challenge.
