Bloomsday Run : Spokane, WA
Bloomsday is an annual road race organized by the Lilac Bloomsday Association in Spokane, Washington. The 2026 event marks the 50th running and includes a main 12 kilometer race that takes place in May and follows a course through Spokane streets. The event attracts thousands of participants and features both elite competition and recreational fields, with seeding and prize money for elite entrants.
The Bloomsday program includes additional community events and race formats: the Corporate Cup team competition, Junior Bloomsday for students in grades 3 through 7, the Marmot March one-mile family walk and run at Riverfront Park for children in third grade or younger, and a Virtual Bloomsday option. Race weekend information covers packet pickup and check-in, on-course entertainment, water aid stations, parking and transportation, hotels, and a finisher t-shirt with an associated design contest.
Each year the Lilac Bloomsday Association selects an official charity partner that receives participant donations, fundraising support, and a free booth at the Bloomsday Trade Show.
