Bloomsday
Bloomsday is an annual road race organized by the Lilac Bloomsday Association in Spokane, Washington. The 2026 event is the 50th running and takes place on May 3, 2026. The main race covers 12 kilometers (7.46 miles) and features both elite competitors and recreational participants. The course runs through Spokane streets and passes local landmarks.
The event is part of the Professional Road Running Organization circuit and includes seeding, prize money for elite competition, a finisher shirt and a finisher shirt design contest, and a finisher time calculator. Race weekend programming includes a trade show, on-course entertainment, water aid stations, parking and transportation information, and hotel listings. The Lilac Bloomsday Association selects an official charity partner each year; charities receive participant donations, opportunities to raise funds, and a complimentary trade show booth.
Related event formats and activities are scheduled around the main race, including team competition, youth events, a family mile at Riverfront Park, and a virtual option.
