Logistics and purpose
The event benefits the Rhode Island Brain & Spine Tumor Foundation and is held in memory of a local firefighter who was diagnosed with glioblastoma. Proceeds support the foundation’s education, spiritual and financial assistance programs and research support.
Entry fees listed on the event page are $40 for the 10k, $30 for the 5k, and $40 for each virtual distance. In-person entry prices increase after December 31, 2025. Registration for virtual events closes on May 17, 2026. Bib pick-up is at Deerfield Park on May 17 (QR code recommended); bibs are assigned at check-in. Dogs and strollers are not permitted. Awards include the top three overall male and female for both the 5k and 10k, plus first-place age-group awards for male and female in each distance, with age-group categories extending up to 90+.
