Blaise Blazer
The Blaise Blazer is an approximate 6k race held within the grounds of Blaise Castle Estate, Bristol, BS10 7QS. The course runs on tarmac, grass and trails and includes hills and open views across the estate.
Registration takes place in the club house next to the children's playground. Complimentary cakes and refreshments are provided in the club house after the event. Toilets and changing rooms are available on site and bags may be left in the club house at the owners' risk.
Prizes are awarded for male and female 1st, 2nd and 3rd, plus age-category prizes including 1st U23 and 1st in V35, V45, V55, V65 and V70. Only one prize may be claimed per runner. Team prizes are awarded to the first six club runners to count, comprising three male and three female finishers. Spot prizes are given at the finish line and presentations take place from the club pavilion after runners finish.
The minimum age is 16. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs and no pushchairs, dogs or headphones are permitted. Support or guide runners may enter free of charge to assist a participant with a disability or support need.
Travel options include local buses 1, 2, 3, 4, 76, 623 and MC5, cycle access via National Cycle Network Route 4 with cycle parking by the café, and on-site parking; parking charges may apply.
Online entries close at noon on 1st June. Entries on the night are priced at £12 affiliated and £14 unaffiliated, cash and card accepted. There are no transfers or refunds.
